France indeed is rooted in deep history of human existence and civilization goes far back to 40,000 years ago. It is an amazing country with huge fertile land. It was not called France until recent history. It was made of people of different ancestries and so many different languages. Through force and coercion the French became the dominant language. To the present time there are remnant groups and languages such as the Basque.
