The stock market lesson is that "Buying Low and Selling High" of bad stocks leads to total disaster. Case point is the 'circuit City' retail electronic stock, it is continuously collapsing once $10 and much higher it is worth now 27 cents. The Presidential Polls From Harry Truman Time to John McCain and Barack Obama Our Time

Image
The Presidential Polls From Harry Truman Time to John McCain and Barack Obama Our Time First of all, there was only the Gallup poll in 1948. Now there are at least 15 polls which all say just about the same thing. Also, Gallup did not think he needed to do any polls in the last two weeks of the '48 campaign as the two previous campaigns showed no shift in that period. So, his poll two weeks before the election might have been accurate but he missed a big swing at the end. This year, there are too many polls done every day at the national level to miss a big change like that. Plus all the state polls which give a more accurate picture of the electoral tide. I look at this more like 1980. The national popular polls were showing a tight race before Reagan pulled ahead at the end. However, my roommate used to bring home the Evans/Novak report from work and their electoral map analysis was showing a Reagan landslide for a long time before the popular polls started showing it. The United Arab Emirates First of the Arab Countries to Recognize Kosovo

Image
After long political winter United Arab Emirates took the long awaited step to recognize the Independence and the sovereignty of the newly established country of Kosovo. As such United Arab Emirates became the first of the Arab Countries to recognize Kosovo. This is too much an embarrassment it took them so long to take such step. Never the less they earned the distinction of being the first and only Arab country to recognize Kosovo even more than other 45 other countries had recognized Kosovo so far including the US, Canada and the bulk of major countries of the EU. Financial interest and prospects of economic opportunities may have played part. On the other hand King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia played fool of him self when in May he announced that the recognition of Saudi Arabia of Kosovo will be coming soon, Looks like one needs to discover a snow ball in hell before he does that. http://www.topix.com/forum/world/serbia/TAU3BPFGRTP0V5TOI#lastPost

There is a growing belief on the Street that the economy is either in a recession or headed for one despite government relief efforts and gradual improvements in world credit markets Goldman Sachs fell $3.71, or 3.2 percent, to $111. Eli Lilly rose 60 cents to $32.71, while Dow Chemical rose $1.65, or 7.5 percent, to $23.76. Light, sweet crude rose $1.45 to $68.20 on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Mosques Unwelcomed in Italy Roman Catholic Cathedrals Welcomed in Miidle East and North Africa

Image
Italy's right to curb Islam with mosque law ROME — Italy's Northern League, allies of center-right Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, want to limit the growth of Islam in the center of world Catholicism by blocking the construction of mosques through strict new regulations. Muslim immigrants using Italy as a route into Europe already get a foretaste of the mistrust with which many Europeans view their religion, with many projects for mosques and prayer halls already blocked by the opposition of local Italian residents. But if the anti-immigrant Northern League pushes its bill through parliament -- where Berlusconi's coalition has a strong majority -- Italy will soon have a new law effectively blocking the construction of new mosques in much of the country. Fearing the advent of "Eurabia," the League has used its control of Berlusconi's interior ministry since helping him to power to push through tough new laws against illegal immigrants. It has now turned its a

Stock Market Lesson One Reading Sentiment Love and Hate

One of very valuable ability in trading in the stock market is to able to read whether the stock is darling of Wall Street or not? Take the shoe manufacturing stock of Crocs CROX was in the love curve from middle 2006 when it was $10 to $75 on October 31, 2007 all that time in between the stock was loved by Wall Street after the peak or financial orgasm was achieve the mood was changed and now the stock is in the range of $2. So reading love and hate of stock is lesson number one.

The Presidential Second Debate Starring Cast Obama and McCain Nashville Tennessee

Image
The second presidential debate was held October 7,2008 at Nashville, Tennessee between Barack Obama and John McCain. It was high performance presentation from both sides. John McCain was able to portray more compassionate side regarding the health care issues facing the country un-insured people. Barack Obama tried to nail him describing his $5,000 Tax Credit as a gimmick giving in one hand and taken from the other pocket even more. Then there were sharp attacks on Vladimir Putin and labeling Russia as evil but refraining from calling it is back to the days of cold war with the Soviet Union. Then McCain called for Georgia and Ukraine to join NATO if they choose. This will be very risky business and inflame Russia with incalculable reprisal acts. The debate in Nashville was an attempt from John McCain to resist the tidal wave against him with Barack Obama ahead of him and nearly capturing the 270 electoral college votes needed to win the presidency. http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/10/0

The Overwhelming Win of Ronald Reagan Over Jimmy Carter and the Religious Right

The overwhelming historic win of Ronald Reagan over Jimmy Carter is kind shrouded in mystery for some. Scrapping the surface one surprisingly that tidal wave of Tsunami had devastated Jimmy Carter and threw him in humiliating defeat. This Tsunami was Creation of the late fire brand Rev Jerry Falwell the leader of the so called Moral majority. It is generally said that the crushing defeat was because of he was bad president this however does not tell the whole story but the rise of the Christian over zealous religious right is really what have devastated Jimmy Carter in that fateful presidential elections. A fact that never is told. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election,_1980 http://are.as.wvu.edu/jhicks.htm http://www.trinity.utoronto.ca/News_Events/News/halton.htm

The Personal Attacks On Barack Obama By John McCain Will Back Fire

It is extremely foolish that John McCain is falling in the trap of engaging in the cult of personal attacks on Barack Obama and linking him to alleged terrorist's friendship. This is counter productive and will bring the eerie to voters and in the mean time will create sympathy and support to his adversary Barack Obama.

George W. Bush Could Have Helped John McCain By Bringing Some Troups From Iraq

There is no October surprise this presidential race coming the November 4, 2008 elections. President George W. Bush could have helped fellow Republican John McCain in his predicament facing the tough opponent Barack Obama by announcing some victory in Iraq and bringing some troops back with all the fanfare surrounding that. As such George W Bush left John McCain to his ultimate fates as polls indicates that his behind in some key battle ground states. The moral of the story that it is not good idea to throw a bucket of water on the head of fellow Republican in time of need.
