Critique of The Book Liberal Fascism By Jonah Goldberg
This Book is lot of Malachi and the title full of deception. Although this book is called Liberal Fascism it is much about Adolph Hitler and Benito Mussolini. The book should not have been called Liberal Fascism but Adolph Hitler and Benito Mussolini fascism.
Author Jonah Goldberg in a sneaky way try to to stick the phrase Liberal Fascism on liberals in our days in America by drawing silly parallels with Hitler and Mussolini social programs. So if Hitler and Mussolini had programs to help the elderly and the Democrats or Liberals in now a days America have a program or advocating helping the elderly then the Liberals can be called Liberal Fascists because they are advocating programs that are similar to Hitler and Mussolini.
He goes back and attacks President Woodrow Wilson even the man has been dead for long time and can not defend him self.

Fascism places the state over individual regard. Modern liberalism/progressivism tries to empower the individual. There are some apparent contradictions because modern liberalism tries to provide a floor on the minimum welfare of any individual in the society. It comes from the sensibility that a person who is desperate is not truly free. The institution that modern liberals frequently call upon to provide this floor is the government.
