Mitrovica The Powder Keg of Kosovo

One month has passed since Kosovo have declared her independence on 17 of February 2008 and still the troubles have not simmered. It still remains Mitrovica as the powder Keg of in this region of Kosovo north of the Ibar River. In order to bring order from chaos the Kosovo government in earnest is trying to arrange for parliamentary elections and a constitution. Most important of all it should not be remotely at all resemble in any shape the anti-Islamic fanatic secular extremest Turkey constitution which is the laughing stock of the world. Moslem rights should be preserved as Islamic values not to exclude that of the Kosovar Serbian Christian Orthodox who also share the religious value and liberty aspirations that again were shunted and amputated in the geographically neighboring Turkey. A ban on female head scarf or extreme secularism should not be in the cards. Moslems in Kosovo should have the right for religious independence without government control as in the case of Turkey and Arab Moslem countries. Kosovo should be a model of Moslem country that other Moslems should look upon with admiration.
To move forward the Serbians in Mitrovica should recognize that they will be fellow partner in the Kosovo government and parliament with culture and religious institutions fully intact. The idea of Kosovo partition and the Northern part ceding is at best lame.
