Syria And Islamists Executions

Syria is known for the Hama massacre which occurred on February 2, 1982 when the Syrian army bombarded the town of Hama. Estimates of dead civilians ranged from 10,000 to 30,000 Sunni Moslems. This is very shocking for humanity. Now Syria condemned three young men to execution because belonging to an Islamic group under the charge of attempting to change the social and economic structure of the country. One of them is German with Syrian background. Strangely enough a Marxist group is permitted and has its newspaper. This cult of death and denying a segment of the population its right of engaging in the Democratic discourse is reprehensible.
