Bush Pakistan Democracy And War on Terror

Bush sacrifices democracy for his favorite toy the war on terror this is the sad reality as it stands now. It is the principle vs. Expediency. Such incoherent policy will shed doubts on Mr. Bush over all sincerity and credibility. There are lot of manifestations of Mr. Bush putting the blinders not to see the abuses for so called his allies and sometimes buddies through the Muslim world. He keeps low key as they tremble on democracy and human dignity. The worst glaring example is in Pakistan where his ally General Pervez Musharaff had trampled on the Constitution, courts, engaged in mass arrests of his opponents and declared marshal law. The strongest term of his administration came in lame comment sounded by the secretary of state Condoleezza Rice when she announced she is just disappointed from Musharaff actions. Petty.

Reversal and Epilogue

Nov 7, 2007 Bush indicated that he advised Musharraf to take off his military uniform and run fair elections. Lets us see what will ensue?
On Nov 16, 2007, A senior U.S. envoy said Pakistan's democratic process had been "derailed" and carried a stern warning to President Gen. Pervez Musharraf from the Bush administration to end emergency rule. ... Good Honorable Job.
