Divorce In Islam and Christianity Basics

Islam allows divorce and nothing prohibits it.
The Roman Catholic church does not condone it.
Some Christian churches decree that no divorce can be sanctified because of the bible injunction, "What God has joined together let no man put asunder," and "Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh".
In some predominantly Catholic countries, such as Malta and the Philippines, divorce is not allowed.
