Islamic Shariah Moslem Man Can Marry Christian or Jewish Woman

Islamic shariaa will permit a Moslem man to marry a Christian or Jewish woman, however, a Moslem woman would not be allowed to marry a Christian or Jewish man. One of the basic rational is at the times of Prophet Muhammed the man was the strong component of family and accordingly the head of the house hold need who would establish a Moslem family. In retrospect, if one considers the Roman Catholic teachings one finds that the marriage of one Catholic with non-Catholic will not be permitted in the eyes of the church only with the stipulation that the children of such marriage should be raised Catholics.
In this country one finds that it is not uncommon to find a Moslem man who marries a non-Moslem woman have their children raised as Christians. Many of such cases are found with Iranian Moslem men marrying Christian women. Incidentally, the Iranian Moslems are least religiously oriented of any national Moslem group. One may observe that the the Moslem Turks in this country come close with the complements of the late Kemal Ata-Turk.
With our new era values the common argument is that if any man and woman are in love then they can marry together no matter what else religious difference may be.
