The Demise of Rev. D. James Kennedy
The obituary page of the Los Angeles Times on September 5, 2007 carried the news of the death and demise of Rev. D. James Kennedy who had previously suffered a heart attack suffered on Dec. 28. The Rev died at age of 76. The Presbyterian minister Rev. with snake charming distinctive baritone voice was a radical Christian who believed that the U.S. should be a Christian nation on all aspects and level of government, ignoring in the mean time the pluralistic nature in this country and the existence and the interest of the followers of other religions. In addition he was of the belief that Christian voters should vote for only Christian candidates. A very dangerous man, full of hatred and lowest of the low! One other obsession of Rev. D. James Kennedy on his regular radio programs was his talk about the great scientist Isaac Newton and how wonderful he was as a regular bible reader. He omitted on the other hand to mention that this great scientist Isaac Newton had total disdain for the concept of trinity and the divinity of Christ and actually he regretted this became part of the Christian folklore. About Isaac Newton, he got into errors when he consulted or was influenced by the bible, take for example when he researched the primary colors he added the magenta and others to fit into seven primary colors with seven a number that he was influenced from the bible. Newton reading the bible he concluded that the stars in heaven are at fixed positions equally spaced. When junior scientists came with opposite conclusions, he amended his claim and he stated that when this happens God arrange them back. D. James Kennedy passion was to attack Darwin the evolution theorem. I hope he does not find monkeys in heaven, otherwise he will be awfully embarrassed. Other Tid-bits about the reverend one may mention that he started his life career as Arthur Murray dance studio instructor. He met his future lovely wife Anne when he was her dance instructor. All in the Family. May he have wonderful time with Jesus in heaven playing the clarinet. At least he will relax and there will be no need for bothering writing radio talk sermons.
